Sergey Storchak, the RF Deputy Finance Minister, Sees no Difficulties in Russia’s Dialogue with its Group of Eight Partners in the Sphere of Finance and Energy Security
London, May 22. /PRIME-TASS/. - There are no difficulties in Russia’s dialogue with its Group of Eight partners in the sphere of finance and energy security. According to ITAR-TASS, that was an opinion expressed by the RF Deputy Finance Minister, Sergey Storchak at the meeting with journalists in London today.

He said that for the period of Russia’s participation in the Group of Eight, it had never been blamed for applying non-market methods in the dialogue. Mr. Storchak emphasized that he “doesn’t share” the theses, which were recently stated by the US Vice-President Richard Cheney. “There is Cheney, but there are many other top-level US representatives, who don’t share his viewpoint”, he added.

According to Storchak, preparation for G8 summit in Saint Petersburg “is at its final stage”. In 3 weeks, the Group of Eight Finance Ministers will meet in Saint Petersburg to discuss the issues that have been included in the summit agenda. The RF Finance Ministry “feels quite comfortable” in the dialogue with its colleagues from G8, Storchak said.
